Power Plant IN A NUTSHELL
The power generation station at Al-Manaseer Industrial Complex stands out as the first of its kind in Jordan, employing CFBC technology.
This technology excels in its ability to efficiently combust various types of solid fuel or their blends, such as bituminous coal and petroleum coke. It can also incorporate around 5% of residues from wastewater treatment plants and a proportion under study of oil shale with coal.
Al-Manaseer Industrial Complex has successfully replaced costly electricity from the national grid with an economically viable and reliable energy source, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of the Al-Manaseer Industrial Complex’s facilities. The focus of the complex’s efforts lies in generating electricity with the highest standards of reliability, availability, and efficiency, at the lowest possible cost, while adhering strictly to environmental standards.
The CFBC technology is notable for its lower combustion temperature within the furnace, reaching around 850 degrees Celsius. This effectively reduces the formation of nitrogen oxides and allows the combustion process to be fueled by limestone, significantly limiting the formation of sulfur oxides through limestone injection. It is worth mentioning that this technology aligns with the air emissions limits set by the European Union.
What distinguishes the power generation station is its capability to burn a diverse range of solid fuels and their blends, thereby embracing sustainability through the integration of approximately 5% of residues from wastewater treatment plants.
Al-Manaseer Industrial Complex has transformed its significant energy consumption using modern technology, bidding farewell to the costs associated with reliance on the national grid. In its place emerges a self-sufficient, economical, and dependable energy source.
This significant achievement greatly bolsters the competitive edge of the diverse facilities within the Al-Manaseer Industrial complex . The primary objective is to generate electricity with utmost reliability, availability, and exceptional efficiency, at the lowest achievable cost – all while strictly adhering to environmental standards.
